In 2000, TTY Biopharm created the TTY Oncology Team with professional cancer treatment technology and innovative marketing concept as the strategies (i.e. “R&D marketing and marketing R&D.”) to enter the field of anti-cancer medical biotechnology. TTY Biopharm envisions becoming the world’s first international pharmaceutical company that focuses on special Chinese diseases and prevalent Chinese cancers.

TOT is committed to being the best friend of cancer patients based on the four essences of "care, innovation, speed and profession". It is our mission to become a professional anti-cancer team that provides services with the highest quality and creativity for patients and oncologists. 【Oncology R&D Team】

Developing from the periods of incubation, growth to transformation since 1996, TOT has made efforts for more than 10 years to form the unique Oncology R&D team in Taiwan with members specialized in the development of new drugs and formulations. It has a professional Oncology translation laboratory and a complete group of domestic and international partners. All activities including assessment of new drugs, planning of integration, follow-up actions, and interdepartmental communication are well planned before implementation.

The professional Oncology translation laboratory provide the following testing services:

(1)	FACS-based angiogenesis marker test: with the blood of human beings or animals as the sample;
(2)	Tumor market test: using FISH or IHC to test different tumor markers to help treat patients with the most suitable medicines, realizing "personalized treatment";
(3)	Pharmacological animal experiment: animal models have been built for breast and liver cancers. The animal model of tumors for drug-resistant cell lines will be improved to facilitate the pharmacological test of medicines;
(4)	Molecular biology experiment: analysis of the anti-tumor mechanism using different molecular biology technologies;
(5)	Functional imaging technology: simulation of the tumor transfer process and analysis of the tumor transfer mechanism;
(6)	Pharmacological cell experiment: proving the efficacy of the medicine in cell experiments; The professional Oncology translation laboratory is undertaking long-term cooperation with domestic and international leading academic institutes and is highly praised in its performance.
(6)	Proteome (SELDI-TOF, Q-STAR): Screening the prognostic marker, predictive marker, and so on for different cancers based on the proteomics.

【Oncology Clinical Trial Team】

TOT has a professional clinical trial team in Taiwan to clinically develop quality anti-cancer drugs. All current clinical trials are carried out according to the international ICH GCP regulations; many of them have passed the review of the Department of Health or been audited by independent laboratories for confirmation of their quality. As of 2007, a total of 68 cases have been approved by IRB and the Department of Health for the first, second, and third phases of clinical trials. In addition to the outstanding execution capability, TOT carries out clinical trials with the support of 23 medical centers and many teaching hospitals in Taiwan. In the meantime, TOT has expanded its test bases to Singapore, India, Hong Kong, and China and has participated in several multi-national and multi-center clinical trials in cooperation with its international partners in the USA and Japan. In doing so, TOT marches toward the international market and establishes a more- consolidated cooperation network in the world. For the research fields, our interests lie in the research of liver cancer, head/neck cancer, and gastric cancer that are prevalent in Asian, and the result of the research is published in important international academic journals. (A total of 48 studies have been published currently.) We hope that our long-term experience in clinical trials can be connected to the value chain of the pharmaceutical industry to make more contributions to the development of new drugs for Asian and for the life of human beings from the medical point of view.

【Oncology Marketing and Sales Team】

TOT has an innovative marketing and sales team providing a complete set of anti-cancer products. We have successfully introduced many self-developed anti-cancer drugs to the market and continuously develop and import the best anti-cancer drugs for patients. Not merely focusing on expertise, we also take care of patients with our enthusiasm and deep care. We participate in domestic and international academic seminars to acquire the latest anti-cancer information, organize workshops for oncologists and other cancer treatment experts on a regular basis, and provide a variety of services for cancer patients to fulfill our obligations to society and Taiwan. TOT has annually organized the workshop of "Taiwan's Intelligent Volunteers Spreading Cancer Knowledge from Villages" since 2005. Oncologists and experts are invited to lecture on the correct concept of cancer in rural areas so that people can learn basic knowledge about cancer and free themselves from fear of this disease. We also participate in the consultation and screening of oral cavity cancer for aboriginal tribes, and establish the first "Goodbye! The Red Lip People" blog in Taiwan. All people are urged to support the cancer prevention and fighting activities to live a healthy life and avoid the ill effects of cancer!

【Expansion of International Deployment】

Thanks to TOT's efforts, we have established the foundation of professional capabilities in different oncological fields. Recently, TOT actively participated in many development and marketing activities around the world. TOT joined ACOS (Asian Clinical Oncology Society) in 2001 and exposed in the international medical society for the first time. In 2003, TOT participated in the international medical exhibition in Seoul, South Korea, and the medical exhibition in Japan. Later in 2005, it created an opportunity for multi-national collaboration in Asia and established a branch in Germany and Thailand, respectively. Incessantly, TOT participated in the multi-national clinical trial project of FDA in 2006 to develop new drugs for Asia cancer patients in cooperation with the partners in North America, and established an office in Shanghai and a communication center in the USA in 2007. Currently, the products of TTY Biopharm are sold to China, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and Russia. With the goal to deploy globally, TTY Biopharm is one of the pharmaceutical companies that footstep in Taiwan and develops internationally at the highest speed. The next step of the global deployment is to become “your best partner against cancer”.
